Lesley Li
Lesley connects more than a decade in financial services with a clear purpose: make investing feel more relevant, understandable and possible for a broader range of people.
Experience and perspective
The market question behind the method.
Before founding u impact in Berlin in 2020, Lesley spent more than ten years in financial services, including roles at J.P. Morgan and Barclays in London. She holds two Master’s degrees from the University of Cambridge, in Finance and Industrial Management.
Her work sits where investor needs, financial products and communication meet. That perspective shaped the original question behind u impact: why do people who express an interest in investing, particularly sustainable investing, still hesitate or disengage?
Lesley leads u impact’s market-facing work, bringing client questions into the research and turning analytical outputs into conversations that product, proposition and leadership teams can use. She gave a TEDx talk in Berlin in 2022, was recognised as a Top 10 ESG leader in Innovate Finance’s 2021 Women in FinTech Powerlist, and contributes to the SustainableFinance.Live advisory board.

Selected perspective
This is why u impact separates interest from competence, confidence and comfort with uncertainty. It also explains why cohort findings are converted into testable changes rather than generic investor education.
